PUPPY GROOMING

To ensure your puppy is introduced to grooming in a positive way, our groomers will use treats and patiently work around your puppy in a stress-free way. We suggest a bath & tidy for the first groom as soon as they have had all their vaccines. Better still, why not buy a Puppy Introduction To Grooming Package and have the same groomer educate and develop your pup’s resilience to all the stimuli but feel safe and familiar.

HOW DO I BOOK MY DOG ONLINE?

To book a dog online you will need to have your request approved. This video will help get you onboard:

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH SIZE MY DOG IS?

We estimate the groom by the weight of your dog and the amount of hair it has.
If your dog’s coat is longer than 2 cm, then go up one size (e.g., sm to sm/med) because it will require a pre-clip.
If you maintain your dog’s long coat and wish to have a long clip (using a comb guard), please add the bath & brush dry to your groom size.

DO YOU CLEAN EARS

The groomers will pluck the ears gently on most dogs and check them for signs of infection.
We won’t, however, do a deep clean as this is better done by the vet.

SHOULD MY BORDER COLLIE GET A DESHED & TIDY OR A CLIP OFF?

Unless your double-coated dog is matted badly, we always advise a dashed or dashed and tidy because their coat has its own thermoregulation to release heat in summer and to build an undercoat to keep them warm in winter. Shaving a double-coated dog will cause the guard hair to shorten each time, eventually giving way to the soft undercoat hair, ruining the coat’s protection and look.

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY DEPOSIT IF I CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

From July 2024, when you book an appointment online, over the phone, or as a walk-in, you will be charged a 50% deposit. If you give 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule, you will be able to get your deposit back or transfer it to the next booking. Less than 48 hours’ notice will mean your deposit is forfeited and used to cover staff wages.

DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS FOR BOOKING IN ADVANCE?

Yes, we offer a free groom when you book 10 grooms in advance. If you allow us to keep your 50% booking deposit we roll it over for all your grooms thus reducing the expense of paying fees online or through our f-pos machine. As long as you adhere to our booking and cancellation terms you are able to change bookings without losing your deposit.
